Two new programs for 2007!

As an incentive to our members, the M.B.H.A. has instituted 2 new programs, the Saddle Drawing and the Cowboy Lotto. Every member has a chance to win a brand new saddle, and/or cash, just by showing up!

Saddle Drawing

Our saddle was donated to us by Dana Shaw of Burns Saddlery in Salina, UT, and is personalized with MBHA 2007 on a fender corner. To win the saddle, you must be an M.B.H.A. member in good standing (so renew your memberships now!), and the member must be at least 5 years of age. At every M.B.H.A. event and meeting, members who attend will have their names entered to win the saddle at the year’s end. You may earn an entry by coming to a meeting, volunteering at an event, or participating in an event. One entry is permitted at each function you attend – that allows for at least 19 entries for you if you attend meetings and come to each event! On January 12, 2008, we will hold a drawing from all the entries that have accumulated this year, and select the saddle winner.

Cowboy Lotto

Cowboy Lotto gives every member a chance to win cash – something anyone with horses can never have too much of! At each event in 2007, we will be holding a 50/50 drawing. Anyone attending an event can participate in the 50/50 – if you win, you take home 50% of the cash collected. The other 50% goes into a pot, and at each regular meeting, we will hold a drawing from the membership for the winner of that pot. The Cowboy Lotto will be drawn from the names of all current M.B.H.A. members, but YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN! If your name is drawn at the meeting, and you are not in attendance, the pot will be held over until the next meeting, when a new winner will be drawn. The name of the person winning the draw each month will be published in the newsletter, along with the amount they won – or the amount that will be held over for next time, if the winner wasn’t at the meeting!
